Hi! Great conversation! I would love a link to those weston woods films!

Unfortunately they were once on Internet Archive, but they appear to have been removed.

This was so much fun. Feel there was still so more to touch on.

What a fun chat! And I’m actually going to be in the Bay Area for a month from aug 19-sept 19 so if you happen to do a meet up during that random month, I’ll be there 😉

Awesome! I will -- and no worries at all, that’s what I’ve experienced too (just finding random stuff as I go). That approach is fun but sometimes I wish there were more “history of children’s books overview” type of stuff. I’m a big picture thinker so it helps to have a map like that 😂

Also you mentioned during the chat how you are studying the history of picture books and I’m trying to do the same — any book/website/other recommendations?

So it's more like I research and read things from ALL over the place. So it's not the actual history (although that does come up in a lot of what I read). I do think there are books out there that would be great for that. I don't have a specific recommendation other than just obsessively reading and watching everything! Sorry that's not very helpful. :)
