An absolutely brilliant post--thanks to you for giving me a reminder of Lisa Simpson's nerdy loveliness. I sent this post to 25 (?) people, I thought it encapsulated so much of what I am feeling.
My recent discovery this week was Learning By Heart, a book cowritten with Jan Steward and the great SIster Corita Kent. This was, in large part, due to the brilliant WendyMac Grownups Drawing Together. I personally think Substacks have the best writers! You might want to check this book out, LEARNING BY HEART. Lisa Simpson probably attended the college where Sister Corita taught Art classes. Corita's philosophy was to learn and read anything and everything, that art has no boundaries! Something I suspect you are into as well.
It was a good week for me so thanks for the Lisa reintro. Going to check out LIsa videos, read more LEARNING BY HEART and anything and everything. And good grief, I still have Sunday to look forward to because it is the next WendyMAC delivery. Who knows what she will come up with next?

This makes me want to show The Simpson’s to my daughters now. Also that reading list is fabulous (Alice in wonderland is a favourite) and what an interesting way to think of a crush! Ps. I hope you bought the vans!

My kids love The Simpsons and it's really special to watch with them! It's also entertaining to watch with a grown up perspective.
