This is all so lovely, and spot on. I feel like I wanted to comment on every sentence. 😂 Need to read that LeGuin book!

Thanks, Emmy! Have you read any Le Guin? I actually have only really read her non-fiction!

I’ve read A Wrinkle in Time, and the Earthsea trilogy forever ago. I do love her writing, though I couldn’t tell you much about the plot of that trilogy!

Ha, E, she didn’t write A Wrinkle in Time, but I could see why that connection is there. :)

LOLOL! I am laughing very hard. Of course she didn’t write that. 🙃🫠 Oof. Tired brain. But yes. I think the Earthsea trilogy is the only thing I’ve read by her. And now I’m like ‘Is that a trilogy?’ I think it is. THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW, OF COURSE 😂

I’m laughing too! I’ve heard Earthsea is great but also hard to read. I like fantasy but also it can be hard for me sometimes. It depends. But Le Guin is so amazing, I want to try! And I know tired brain!! I’m doing all this while watching my kids solo after their last day of school- and now it’s summer - and they are so tired- and omg I’m so tired!!!! Lol

After reading “The Art of Eric Carle” and learning how his art is created, it really made me appreciate picture book art. I look at his books (and others) so differently now. Have you ever been to the Eric Carle Picture Book Museum? So cool to see something dedicated to this art form.
