So I've been catching up on substack today and how did I miss this???? I think I briefly opened it but didn't finish so it didn't pop up as unread but OH MY GOSH THANK YOU SO MUCH. This is the kindest, sweetest, best thing ever and I am so so grateful to you. I've been feeling extra full of gratitude for you as I work on a longer video about my book tour experiences -- including the super fun Moonbow experience ;) I'm documenting what I've learned, and let me tell you...I have learned SO MUCH from you and feel inspired by you all the time. Thank you for being courageous you, forging your own path even when it is scary.

I recently bought myself a copy of How to Pee Your Pants, which I owned for a precious, delightful, heady 30 minutes until my 7-year old niece assumed I had gotten it for her and was so excited to take it home. Nothing quite so glorious as watching her slowly sound out the words on the cover, realization setting in on her face. PFFs!

My current favourite Rundell line, from her BBC series about children’s literature, is “We need more strange women in our children’s books”. And she’s not wrong.

I just went to First Cat live with my 9 year old and some friends and it was so much fun. A much needed mood lift.
